This one is dedicated to the Kiefert, Julien, Darnell and Ridings families – and our friends – who came together 25 years ago and have been supporting my beautiful bride and me all these years: Thank you.
I’m really thankful to a bunch of my cousins for sharing their Facebook memories and pictures of my grandmother, Beatrice Ridings, and her home in Greenville, Illinois, out in a place that I think my Uncle Roy Ridings dubbed “Hoot Owl Holler.” Thinking about how welcoming Granny Bea always was to everyone, I wanted to use the footage that Bart Ridings and my step-mom Peggy Darnell shot back on May 22, 1992, and on our wedding day the next day… along with pictures provided by Bart, Daniel Ridings and others, and do a little homage to the classic TV sitcom “Cheers.”
