We have probably had enough spring break trips to Florida by this point in our kids’ histories to have the migration pattern ingrained permanently. Time will tell. When they were younger, the presence of winter weather was felt more emphatically, making the pilgrimage an escape from ice and cold and a quest for full-on heat and sunshine… which was a blessing even in liquid form. Among the reeds and cattails, Crystal River also endures long chilly stretches… but by the time we arrive in any given year, it’s mild, wild, exhilarating and inviting. You’ll find a glimpse into the next edition of “Rare Air” in this February image selection.
