It is wonderful to report that today is an excellent day for us. We’re together in Cherry Grove, a run of built-out South Carolina coastline where we have gathered for the past several years – minus 2020, when we had to stay home. For our youngsters and the rest of us, it’s been great to ease back onto memory lane at the beach, especially with warmer temperatures enticing us outdoors. This year’s locale has us further north, and in our beach walks, the nature sanctuary of Cherry Grove Point beckons.
Where ever you and I are crossing paths, my doings as a writer – and in the bigger picture – are probably familiar. There is no denying how lucky I am. As a goal, I always aim to be worthy of the universe’s kindness; no doubt, I am surrounded by extraordinary people, and keeping up with them keeps me on track. Looking to the future, my creative impulses are rising.
When the Rare Air project began, I recognized something from my past that struck a resounding chord. Arriving in 2022, that chord is still sounding, inspiring me to carry on with creative feats like this, and others that seem worth nurturing. Scanning back through footage I’ve captured in dreamy destinations to find minutes worthy of this series, I continue to discover audiovisual magic. I hope the best Rare Air sessions move you, too.
For this family, the foreseeable future is promising more reunions for sharing time and experiences, renewing bonds, and reinvigoration. I hope the same is true for you and yours! Rest assured, more new records will be coming to light from this happy-go-lucky creator, thanks to the loves of his life.
